๐ŸŽ“ Eligibility

Constable (Operator) in Bihar Police:

1Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible.
2Education: Candidate must have passed Intermediate Science / 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. General, EWS, BC and EBC candidates need at least 50% marks; SC/ST candidates need at least 45% marks. Education qualification cutoff date is 31 March 2026.
3Age: Minimum age is 18 years as on 01 August 2026. Category-wise upper age is UR 25 years, BC/EBC male 27 years, BC/EBC female 28 years, and SC/ST/transgender 30 years. The official notification separately states that the upper-age cutoff date is 01 August 2021 because a 5-year relaxation has been provided for the 993 Constable Operator posts.
4Physical standards: UR/BC male: 165 cm height, 81-86 cm chest; EBC male: 160 cm height, 81-86 cm chest; SC/ST male: 160 cm height, 79-84 cm chest; all female and transgender candidates: 155 cm height and minimum 48 kg weight, chest not applicable.
5PET: Male candidates must complete 1 mile / 1.6 km run within 6 minutes, high jump 3 ft 6 in, and 16-pound shot put 15 ft. Female and transgender candidates must complete 1 km run within 6 minutes, high jump 2 ft 6 in, and 12-pound shot put 8 ft.

The written examination is OMR based and has one paper of 100 marks with 100 questions and 2 hours duration. The paper is at Intermediate / 10+2 level. It includes 25 questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and 25 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates scoring less than 30 percent marks in the written examination will be declared unsuccessful for the physical efficiency test. Based on written marks, up to five times the notified vacancies may be shortlisted category-wise for PET. PET is qualifying in nature and includes running, high jump and shot put. Final selection is prepared category-wise on the basis of written examination marks, subject to PET/PST qualification, document verification, medical fitness and available vacancies.

๐Ÿ“ Job Description

The Central Selection Board of Constable, Bihar has issued the written examination and e-Admit Card notice for Constable (Operator) in Bihar Police under Advertisement No. 02/2026. The recruitment is for 993 posts in Bihar Police Radio / Technical cadre. The written examination is scheduled on 21 June 2026 in one sitting at examination centres across the 38 revenue districts of Bihar. Candidates can check exam date and exam-centre district information from 08 June 2026 on the official CSBC website. The e-Admit Card download window is from 15 June 2026 at 00:00 AM to 21 June 2026 at 11:00 AM. Candidates must carry the printed e-Admit Card and a valid photo identity proof to the exam centre. Reporting is from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and entry closes one hour before the examination. The written test will be OMR based with one paper of 100 questions, 100 marks and 2 hours duration.
