UPSC Civil Services and Indian Forest Service selection starts with the Civil Services Preliminary Examination. Candidates who qualify the prelims proceed to the next stage as applicable for Civil Services or Indian Forest Service. The e-Admit Card is only an examination entry document and does not confirm final eligibility. Candidates must follow the instructions printed on the admit card and carry the same Photo ID used in the application.

UPSC Civil Services / Indian Forest Service Prelims 2026 e-Admit Card has been released by the Union Public Service Commission. The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 official page shows the e-Admit Card upload date as 15 May 2026 and the examination date as 24 May 2026. Candidates who applied for Civil Services Examination 2026 and/or Indian Forest Service Examination 2026 can download the admit card from the official UPSC online portal. The recruitment covers approximately 933 Civil Services vacancies and approximately 80 Indian Forest Service vacancies, making 1013 vacancies in total. Candidates must check their name, roll number, photograph, exam centre, reporting time and exam-day instructions after downloading the admit card. The official notices state that no admit card will be sent by post or email. Candidates should reach the venue well in time and must not carry banned items such as mobile phones, smart watches, cameras, Bluetooth devices, storage media or other prohibited electronic devices. Eligibility summary: Civil Services requires a bachelor degree from a recognized university. Indian Forest Service requires a bachelor degree with one of the prescribed subjects such as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture or equivalent subject as per the official notice.
