Tier-I is an objective type computer based examination and carries negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Tier-II is also computer based; Paper-I is compulsory for all shortlisted candidates, Paper-II is for Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II candidates, and Paper-III is for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer candidates shortlisted for those posts. Section-III Computer Knowledge Test and Section-IV Data Entry Speed Test in Paper-I are qualifying in nature, with higher standards for posts where those skills are prescribed. Minimum qualifying marks are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories. Final selection is made on the basis of overall Tier-II performance and the post preferences submitted by the candidate.

Staff Selection Commission has released the official notice for Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026. The recruitment is for Group B and Group C posts in different ministries, departments and offices of the Government of India.
