The online written test has 100 questions for 100 marks with separate timed sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The test duration is 60 minutes and there is negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer. Candidates qualifying the written test are considered State-wise and category-wise. The local language test is required for the selected State/UT unless the candidate is exempted by 10th or 12th standard certificate evidence. Final engagement is subject to eligibility verification, qualifying the local language test where applicable, and medical fitness.

State Bank of India has released the official notification for Engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, Advertisement No. CRPD/APPR/2026-27/07. The recruitment is for 7150 apprentice training seats across States and Union Territories. Candidates can apply online from 19 May 2026 to 08 June 2026 through the official application link. Before applying, candidates must register on the NAPS portal and read the BFSI SSC guidelines as instructed in the official SBI advertisement. The online examination is tentatively scheduled in July 2026 and admit card details will be available before the exam. The minimum qualification is graduation from a recognized University or Institute as on 01 April 2026. The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 01 April 2026, with relaxation as per Government of India guidelines. Selection will be based on online written test, local language test where applicable, eligibility verification and medical fitness. Apprenticeship training duration is one year and the stipend is Rs. 15,000 per month.
