Air Force Academy (AFA):

For IMA, INA and Air Force Academy, the written examination has English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics papers of 2 hours and 100 marks each. For Officers' Training Academy, the written examination has English and General Knowledge papers of 2 hours and 100 marks each. Objective type papers carry penalty for wrong answers. Candidates who qualify the written examination are called for SSB test/interview as per the course and service preference. Final selection is subject to written marks, SSB performance, medical fitness, verification of eligibility documents, preference, merit position and available vacancies.

📝 Job Description

Union Public Service Commission has released Examination Notice No. 11/2026-CDS-II for Combined Defence Services Examination II 2026. The examination will be conducted on 13 September 2026 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers' Training Academy courses commencing in 2027. The total tentative vacancies are 451. Online application started on 20 May 2026 and candidates can submit the application up to 06:00 PM on 09 June 2026 through the official UPSC online portal. Candidates must complete UPSC account/Universal Registration/Common Application Form and the examination-specific form as instructed by UPSC. The fee is Rs. 200 for applicable candidates, while female, SC and ST candidates are exempted. Selection includes written examination followed by Services Selection Board intelligence/personality test and medical examination. Candidates should check course-wise age, sex, marital status and educational qualifications carefully before applying.
